Transcript:
Charlie Brown: All of us got nice things for Christmas except him... Charlie Brown: It doesn't matter if he's only a dog...He's our friend.. Charlie Brown: So you see, I thought I'd better take up a collection to get Snoopy a little Christmas present.. Patty: Why, how nice! Violet: Yes! How thoughtful of you, Charlie Brown! Patty, I'll be glad to donate a nickle... Violet:I will, too...Here... Patty: It's so good of you to be going to all the trouble... Violet: Yes, and to be taking up your own valuable time Charlie Brown: All I have to do now is find a store that's open.. Charlie Brown: Gee...Those girls sure said some nice things...They always used to make me feel so inferior..I guess they don't think I'm so bad after all... Patty: Boy, What a dope that Charlie Brown is! Violet: You can say that again!
Schulz is no longer trying to put a hat on Violet. The last time we see her in one appears to have been the very last time she is shown with her hair in her once customary pigtails.
