Linus and Lucy are walking along the lane. She says, "You have to know a lot of things before you can enter kindergarten, Linus.."

She continues, "You have to be able to use a handkerchief, get a drink of water alone, put on your own coat, and cut with scissors!"

Linus exclaims, "Wow!"

They walk along and he continues, "I never realized the requirements were so rigid!"

Only eight years later, I got into kindergarten without knowing what a handkerchief is for; one more example of the rapid decline in edumacational standards in this country!
