Lucy says, "My mother says she's tired of coaxing Linus and me to eat.."<br> <br> Lucy raises her hands and exclaims, "She says from now on if we don't eat what she puts in front of us, we can go without!"<br> <br> Violet asks, "She's really laying down the law, isn't she?" Lucy replies,"Yes, sir!"<br> <br> She continues, "She says we'll just have to get by on the cookies and candy we eat between meals!" Violet looks at the reader.<br> <br>
Lucy is fine with that.
