With a piece of candy sticking out his mouth he exclaims, "Charlie Brown had a baby sister! He's handing out chocolate cigars!"<br> <br> Pigpen walks up and takes a piece. He says, 'Congratulations, Charlie Brown!" Charlie Brown replies, "Thank You, Pigpen..."<br> <br> Snoopy sits atop his doghouse with a piece of candy and thinks, "Not bad..this should happen more often!"<br> <br>

Nowadays if you want chocolate cigars you have to order them from China.

This is what the very first “Peanuts” animation was based off of, i.e. a Ford Motors commercial from late 1959, where Charlie Brown is passing out chocolate cigars in honor of Ford’s newest car, and yes, even Snoopy gets one.

Ahh, I recall those, …there were licorice cigars also as well as peppermint cigarettes. Ahh, the memories of long past youth.
