This arc has reminded me of the night before I was to start kindergarten! I always wanted to do everything my older sister was doing so I was mostly excited for my 1st day of school, a little nervous too, but definitely couldn’t sleep!
My mom (who had 4 kids 6 and under and the youngest just born) sure needed her sleep so she wasn’t too happy with me for continuing to get up and fidget. Finally she said I was not to wake her up again unless there was some emergency and set me up on a beanbag in the living room.
I couldn’t really read much yet (again I insisted on doing what my older sister did so I could read a little and definitely knew my ABC’s) so she gave me the comics page from the newspaper to look at. I still remember looking at Garfield and Snoopy that night in 1986!
