"What are you doing?" Lucy asks as she and Schroeder approach Linus. He holds up two pieces of paper.<BR><BR> "There is no safe method for looking directly at an eclipse, and it is especially dangerous when it is a total eclipse..." Linus holds out the paper.<BR><BR> "Therefore, I've taken two pieces of white cardboard, and put a pinhole in one. This will serve to protect the image onto the other board..see?" Linus demonstrates.<BR><BR> "I'll bet Beethoven never would have thought of that!" Lucy announces. Shroeder rolls his eyes.<BR><BR>

no, the more complete the eclipse, the less dangerous. during totality it’s quite safe; just don’t keep watching after!
