Based on the moodiness of this strip, it’s evident that it was probably drawn just after Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination on June 5, 1968. The two days of strips leading up to this were related to Snoopy’s political campaign, probably paralleling the lead-up to the California Primary which took place on June 5.
