He asks, "If I have a birthday party, will you girls come?"<BR><BR> Frieda replies, "Well, frankly, Charlie Brown, we'd rather not . . ."<BR><BR> Frieda and Violet walk away and say, "But if we can't find anything else to do, and if there's nothing good on tv that day, we might consider coming . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown says, "It's fun to give a party when everyone's so enthusiastic."<BR><BR>

While Frieda’s most outstanding characteristic is her vanity, this seems out of character for her. She’s vain and self-absorbed, but not a snob. She doesn’t typically join in with Violet, Patty and Lucy in being cruel to Charlie Brown.

If I were CB I would tell them about my birthday party, then say I’m not inviting them. (Just to get back at Violet!)
