Seems the noise Snoopy hears, as the cartoon opens, up thru and including the third panel, must be the SLOW, SINISTER sound of Lucy’s footsteps, STEALTHILY approaching, as she prepares to demand of Snoopy,“Okay, buster, where’s my twenty cents?”
