another way Lucy made Linus lose his hat, even if “inadvertantly”—with her warning, that Linus had better change his mind QUICK,and stop the snowball from hitting Lucy, if he knew what was good for him. You would have thought he would have learned,by now, after all the times he had thrown snowballs at Lucy(or tried to); there was even the one, from circa 1968-1969,where he even tried to throw one at her SECRETLY,but she caught him, anyway, and MADE him DISMANTLE the snowball,ONE FLAKE AT A TIME. He never did, though;he was still working on it after dark, till Charlie Brown came, and Linus asked of him,“Have you ever tried to dismantle a snowball?” Poor Linus.

“If that snowball hits me, the person who threw it is going to regret it UNTIL THE DAY HE DIES! So he’d better do something QUICK, if he knows what’s good for him!” Then, Lucy, at the end:“Smart! Yes, VERY, VERY SMART, indeed!” She sure knew how to sting Linus into “behaving himself,” by threatening him, in other words, of course.
