She reads a piece of paper and says, "'Show an example of the subjunctive in 'if' clauses for conditions contrary to fact.'"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty flies out of her desk scattering everything.<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty leans back in her seat and says, "Sorry, ma'am . . I forgot to fasten my seat belt . ."<BR><BR>
An example of how Schulz would routinely have elementary-age kids tackling problems and being given assignments at an upper-elementary or even high-school level.
