”…everyone knows who Antonio Salieri was. And no, he did not kill Mozart…”
Sure he did! There’s a great line from the kid in The Last Action Hero when F. Murray Abraham shows up as a character (turns out to be a bad guy, natch): “Don’t trust him – he killed Mozart!” Schwartzeneggar: “Who’s Moe Zart?”
So the walls of Schroeder’s house also change color from moment to moment just like at the Van Pelts’ place? Must be tied into that annoying title banner at the top of the page.
Salieri’s music is FABulous! His work touches both sides of the bridge between Bach-ish Baroque and Beethoven-ish Classical. He was a very generous soul who taught poor students for free and worked with many charities. Amadeus is a cool fictional movie with incomparable music, but its ‘libretto’ is utter bullhockey.
