Charming. :) Happy Mother’s Day to all! :)
A great place for a telephone booth - a rarity these days.
Distance is all relative, anyway.
LOL!
happy mother’s day
ha~ ha~
Hope he brought enough quarters or called collect. Long distance on a pay phone isn’t cheap
As long a distance as he could manage.
Not just long but tall and wide.
And another classic from Charles M. Schulz!!!
The man was a true icon.
STILL THE BEST COMIC EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How very thoughtful of Linus Van Pelt.
That is just cute! :)
Peanuts rocks! We should pick up Beetle Bailey and Family Circus next!
I wonder what Lucy did for her mom.
Linus, like Vincent Van Gogh, “This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you”…
Meanwhile, Superman can’t call his mom.
“Hope he brought enough quarters…”
Quarters? Back then, ‘twas only nickels or dimes.
j money, nice Don McClean verse, and so apropos, rmbdot, so true, a dime for the first five minutes, then a nickel for every minute after?
Now that’s “sacrificial effort” on the part of Linus. Allowances were not that much when this cartoon was created, and to think that he was using part of his allowance to call his mom from an in-town store phone booth!
