Now, what’s with all the Lucy-bashing? She seems to be making an honest observation. Would you rather she lie? How would that help? In fact, maybe her comment will actually provide a bit of incentive for Linus to shoot a little higher.
Wow. Had totally not thought of it that way. Why is Linus announcing his moral intentions to Lucy anyway? What’s the motive there? Does he imagine Lucy will link arms with him in a “happy dance”? No.. Linus led with his chin, and Lucy has merely knocked him off his self-righteous pedestal (to mix my metaphors!)
Linus is a good Christian boy.He goes to Sunday School, knows scriptures by heart,and prays.He,like other Christians, know there’s always room for improvement. Lucy needs to do the same.
