Methinks Snoopy has developed an attachment to the blanket. He’s even holding it the way Linus does in the first panel.

Linus doesn’t care how he gets it back, as long as he gets it back.

Let’s see…Linus’ security blanket is his protection against the ills of the world. Kinda like insurance. Huh…even then, Snoopy was destined to be in insurance.

I love Snoopy’s dirty look when Linus makes his demand to give up the blanket. Sometimes you have to get tough with a dog to get them to cooperate. That shows the dog who’s really in charge. lol

To bad the beloved blanket now smells like wet Beagle.

Hmmm…..am I the only one here who senses that “accidental” mail delivery wasn’t so “accidental” after all?Btw, I haven’t been here every day, so I missed the opening of this story. Can someone kindly tell me how Linus’ blanket ended up in the mail in the first place? I’m guessing Lucy was involved……….just guessing……:P

You’re thinking of King James Bible English and Shakespearean English – not sure what that period is called by convention in English Lit history, but it’s about the turning point into Modern English, methinks. :) Middle English is a different beast, as the Chaucer citation points out.

Something tells me you’d be happier reading something where natural laws of physics and nature apply. If you’re looking to cartoons for that, you’re wasting your time.

Maybe he’s not such a stupid dog. Shrewd seems to be more like it.

Snoopy’s always stealing Linus’ stuff! In “Here’s To You Charlie Brown” Linus gets glasses, and Snoopy keeps taking them!
