Never forget our blessings. We live in the land of the free. And it is a sweet fragrance, the smell of Grace. And freedom. Many lands are not free. Nor the people in them.

Maybe Vulture Dog inspired this. But my old copies of “Peanuts” include Vulture Dog in a 1957 edition. I don’t see Snoopy inside a mailbox in my books from that era. Sorry if I seem to be quibbling.

And today is Thanksgiving, there’s no mail delivery, but tomorrow is Black Friday for the start of the Christmas shopping season.

Postal rates would rise, of course.

This practice of the colorist to make the characters appear in bright colors when they have some sort of emotional reaction is growing old REALLY fast. It was not Schulz’s original intention since all the daily strips were in black and white when he created them.

Attack dog!

The mailman would probably react by clobbering you with his heavy mailbag.

He/she won’t deliver the mail. If there is any hindrance (real or imagined) to delivering the mail they won’t do it.“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds” seems to mean nothing to them now.

Go for it, Snoopy!
