    I’ve seen lots of grins without cats…on people, on dogs (you know that good big doggy grin). My cat never grinned at me, just a supercilious smirk. Like the night I got up at about 2 AM and stumbled out to the kitchen for a drink of water…forgot we even had a cat. He darted a paw out from under the table as I passed, and I darn near jumped straight over the table in my surprise!! He came out and sat down, cool as you please, and there it was—that smirk.

    If I remember correctly from my old “Peanuts” books, Charlie Brown was the one who both introduced Schroeder to the piano, and Linus to his blanket.
