Oh, HERE we go…

So much for the sincerity of THAT pumpkin patch !

It’s supposed to be “Male Chauvinist Pig”.

I think maybe Lucy is up for the role of the Grinch, she seems to always be practicingher Grinch tude.

Not a male chauvinist – he just know when (and where) he’s not welcome.

I am not sure if we know the gender of the Great Pumpkin. Linus refers to the being as “The Great Pumpkin” and I can’t recall if he uses personal pronouns.

Even then, the late 60’s / early 70’s, people still used “he” as a personal pronoun for a person of unknown gender as a matter of convenience. I laugh at all the politically correct “solutions” to this issue, but I do admit it would be handy to have a pronoun that refers to a person without revealing gender.

Lucy was way ahead of the curve. Too bad.

Some people refer to such beings by whatever sex they are. So Lucy is free to call The Great Pumpkin a “she”. Look at today’s Liō for a comparison.

Male chauvinists don’t bother me.

I enjoy Andy Capp don’t I? He’s the biggest male chauvinist of the lot.

Lucy is being ridiculous. Pumpkins don’t have a gender.

Now the Great Pumpkin brings pumpkin spice to all the good covfefe drinkers.

When it comes down to it only the female produces fruiting bodies. Some plants have both sexes together, others in separate flowers.
