Unfortunately, for you Peppermint Patty, they need a dress code in school. Which is why I’m all for uniforms, because the kids nowadays are too concern with the latest fashion trends and some of the kids dress like they’re out hooking.
I am old enough to have had a friend who did testify to the school board about revising and relaxing the dress code. His testimony was influential in getting it rewritten. His being a 12 year old high school junior with a 4.0 gpa and 1600 SAT were helpful as well. One board member only saw his long hair (over the collar, oh my) and his non-white shirt without a collar.
