How did a minor get to see a doctor without a parent accompanying him? Oh I forgot, this is the strip that has a dog who thinks he’s a lawyer, a WW I pilot, college student, and author. I love it!
I had a medical emergency involving my blood. To be on the safe side, my doctor got me an appointment with a cancer doctor who specializes in blood diseases. This office was full of horrifyingly sick people and chemo patients. By this time, I felt perfectly well, and the doctor confirmed my blood was now healthy. I apologized to him for wasting his time with so many truly sick people. He said it was a pleasure to see someone who didn’t need his services. A lovely man in a depressing job.
All of us feel fine when we are in the vicinity of a doctor. Probably the ambience is reassuring. I bet visiting a doctor without any medicine will make most of the patient alright. It is all psychological.

Careful CB, Doc might just decide your tonsils need to be removed. (though today, he’d go straight to prescribing antidepressants).
