Are you serious? You’ve seen the smoke created when you burn logs, right? That’s pollution.

it’s CO2 and CO (carbon monoxide) as well as ash that are produced.

They don’t burn as cleanly as other fuels, so they release more polluting gases, and it’s actually a violation of federal law to have a wood fire in a populated area.

Scientific consensus way back when also said the earth was flat and the center of the universe. Scientific consensus means absolutely nothing because it’s not necessarily the truth (and certainly isn’t in this case).
