Pearls Before Swine by Stephan Pastis for March 25, 2007
Transcript:
"I was in the bookstore today. I noticed they had twelve of the latest 'Get Fuzzy' book, but only ten of your newest 'Pearls' book." "Good for 'Fuzzy.'" "Does it hurt you to know that Darby Conley is twenty percent more popular than you?" "Please go away." "After all, if this were an election, that would be considered a @#*@#*@ landslide." "I mean, look at this, you've got stupid crocs on the cover of your book. Who wants stupid crocs? No one! Cats! Cats are what this country demands! Give the people what they want!" "I don't have a stupid cat in my comic, okay?! I don't even know how to draw one!!!" "And that's where 'Bicky,' the quasi-copyright infringing cat comes in." "I hope you know a good attorney." "Why me? Why me? Why me?"

It could be that the “Pearls” books were selling better than the “Fuzzies”.

Um, if there are 12 Get Fuzzy books, and 10 PBS books, couldn’t that also mean that, if they each started at, say, 15, Patsis has sold 5 and Get Fuzzy Guy has sold 3, making Patsis 66% more popular (if I did my math right)?
