That’s actually true….my office building doesn’t have a 13th floor.

Similarly, in Japan the 4th floor will be skipped in places. One pronunciation for the word 4 is “shi”, which is also the word for death.

It’s not due to the owner’s superstition, but rather the public’s. If you can’t get people to rent on that floor, why number it that way?
