Glad to see Zeeba Neighba get some help; but I still dislike Timothy. This is meta-metafictional. This is one of the week’s worth of croc strips cartoon-Pastis had already in the can before he got sent to the big house; so, what we see in panel 3 is a cartoon-cartoon-Pastis, drawn by cartoon-Pastis, drawn by real-life Pastis (who, as far as I know, is currently not doing time)!

Larry needs to consult the Wizard of Id today (see today’s strip).

Glad somebody likes the crocs. Their charm eludes me. Luckily Rat, Pig & Guard Duck will come around some day. I hope…

I wonder if Stephan has ever considered a visit from Crocodile Dundee? And it’s too bad Steve Irwin isn’t around anymore. . .

All in all this is really one of the better strips.

Oh yeah! They proposed that they build a wall between Zebra’s and Larry’s house (much to Larry’s dismay).

They should call it the Great Wall of Zeeba.

A few weeks ago Larry tried to get Zeeba by hiding in a tree. He ended up in a treehouse with a couple of kids and became vice-president of the treehouse club. He was eventually disgraced and thrown out of the club.

Interesting symbolism, considering that Pastis (the comic strip version) is now himself imprisoned behind similarly tall walls.Nothing like good old foreshadowing to add intrigue to a comic strip.

That wall is gorgeous.
