1% of all road runners end up in comic strips.

Odd – I’d just decided I’d skip my exercise routine today. Don’t you hate when G*d speaks to you through a comic strip?!. . ..

Admirably open-minded of you, Goat. Was that Pig ironically shouting the final exhortation from offstage left?

They should start an “occupy the couch” movement to protest laziness.

@TTMThe Jews from ancient times never wrote out their word for “God”, but spelled it YHVH (hence: Jehovah, Yahveh"). They also substituted the word “Adonai” meaning “Lord”.You will also find that they wouldn’t write out the names of the rival gods, either; “Baal” the god’s name is often replaced by “Bosheth”, abomination. This all stems from the belief that names had power, something that comes down to current times.Source: Asimov’s Guide To The Bible, a really good introduction to the Bible as secular history (deciphers all those “begats” for example).

“when you believe in God, when you write about God, you spell the Lord’s name in full, not with a placeholder. Anything less is disrespectful. One might say blasphemous.”Worship God as you wish, Mechanic. Don’t lecture us on how we should.FYI, the explanation for not using the Lord’s name is here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetragrammatonunder “Substitution of HaShem or Adonai”For you to use the Lord’s name in vain, in a comic strip of all places, is disrespectful. One might say blasphemous.

Hmmm. I doubt I spell God’s name aright…after all, I only am fluent in English. God, of course, predates the English language…Jehovah…? are you all witnesses to this?

    Totally agree.

And as to God talking to you through a comic strip… Well when He wants your attention on something, He knows how best to get it. He can really toss your world like a salad sometimes. lol

First of all. Another great strip and I love this strip overall.

On another topic that was brought up here. Most NT believers seem not to understand their Jewish roots. Yes we are one of the branches from the Jewish root of the Olive Tree.

The Jewish people who are not believers still are not allowed to write the full name of the God of the Bible. I respect that! Some Jewish people who have come to believe in their and our Saviour will also hold to that custom/tradition. They are NOT being disrespectful of God for doing such. In fact they are honoring God in their belief of His being a Sovereign God.

Just curious where the heck did you get that fun little statistic from?

Nationally you can barely look around without finding some company under attack for being ungodly, unchristian, or just tolerant of someone.

I guess locally it could be true, ethical business survive and they can be run by chrisitians. But how many fail? In a country that’s 86% christian it’s guaranteed for some.

If you want I could list some of the horrible atrocities committed by christians in what could only be called a business.

This isn’t an attack on your faith, it’s an attack on your biogtry. Just being christian doesn’t ensure your gonna be good or successful.

The strip today was not about religion. The comments are meant for the strip. I suspect that God has more problems with you know-it-alls than with all of the hundreds of billions of galaxies with 100 billion stars each put together.
