Given that there are over $23 trillion in mutual funds (worldwide), there is a lot of blame to go around and/or a lot of dispersed and diluted guilt….

@laughsforme… Meh. Goes for BOTH sides of the political equation. Neither side is above reproach.

Question, what’s the difference between a politician and a corporate C.E.O.? Trick question as there is none.

Why are the Republicans always to blame for everything wrong? The Democrats are just as bad if not worse. Just look at GM.

Probably as many as devotees of Ayn Rand who don’t acknowledge that she spent her declining years collecting, both, Social Security and Medicare – - programs that she abhorred when she was younger, flusher, and in better health.

Adam Smith also said that servants and people doing service jobs that produced no object were worthless. They litteraly didn’t produce anything therefor they didn’t contribute to the economy. .He never enen gave it a thought that his servants doing the cleaning meant he had time to think and write a book, or that the carpenters’ clothes being washed and meals cooked by another meant that they could produce a house.

The difference between corporations and government is that a government should not be “for-profit” such as a corporation which holds no national allegiance and make the most possible profit for its share-holders.

funny this – especially some of the ‘browned eyed’ posts here – in 50 years of political awareness i have seen only two political administrations actually take responsibility for their actions that failed – and the present one is definitely not even close to being one of them. mankind has a whole has always pointed at someone else as the reason for their failure. my favorite expression that i heard many years ago in college – adam blamed eve and eve blamed the snake and the snake didn’t have a leg to stand on – or as flip wilson use to say – it’s not my fault the devil made me do it!
