I also notice Rat’s no longer in “the Garfield way,” if you know what I mean…

Goat’s panel 4 reaction is a bit extreme (though I don’t know that Cartoon-Boy pays his characters all that well—kind of minimum wage job, I suspect). But I’m not sure I buy “gluing” Rat’s head back on; everyone knows it should be sewn!

Now that’s an explanation that works about as well as yesterday’s excuse “not for zeebas” does for a strip about the Obamacare signup deadline running eight months late.

Rat should have quit while he was a-head.

Is there an explanation as to why they suddenly moved from the outdoors to the indoors? I guess if they can glue Rat’s head back on (and de-Garfield him), they can shift backgrounds with no reason.

Time for a vacation for this strip.

If only Ned Stark had had a pot of glue handy.

Professional cartoonists, no matter how deeply they write themselves into a corner, always, with great effort, manage to write themselves out of the corner. .And then there’s Pastis.

Could Stephan not glue his head on back to front?

That would be hilarious.
