I would not, ever, swim in a “public pool.” I value my life and health….

For the benefit of those of you in the US of A, Canada has just elected a new Prime Minister. This is a move back to a more balanced, centerist type of government and away from what many would call a fanatical right-wing climate that has prevailed here over the last decade.Stay tuned.

It’s 45 degrees here. The thought of swimming in a public pool or otherwise gives me the shivers.

No public pools for me,,, that’s why we have lakes in Montana. OK,, it can be cold

Public pools scare me especially when you see bandages floating in them.

Glad we had the local farmer’s pond (with his permission) and the river to swim in.

If they can have separate smoking and non-smoking sections, why can’t they have designated urinating and non-urinating sections?

I’ve been swimming in public pools all my life and still here after 70+ years. Can’t be any worse than sitting in front of a computer or TV all day and not getting any exercise at all.

i suppose it depends who you talk to. You must talk to only liberals. it reminds me of the famous quote by New Yorker and film critic Pauline Kael: ‘I can’t believe Nixon won. Nobody I know voted for him.’ Electoral result: Nixon 520, McGovern 17, Hospers 1.

Even when the Conservatives won a majority of seats, they only garnered 35% of the votes. That’s what happens when the opposition gets divided between two major parties. And just by the way, many of my (usually) right-wing friends didn’t want him, either.
