Rat: What's with all the water?
Pig: The oceans are rising and our only hope is for Noah to deem us worthy of redemption and save us with his ark.
Noah: See ya. Wouldn't want to be ya.
Rat: That's discouraging.
Unfortunately, the only way to move the water from the seas to inland fresh water reserves is by warming the seas, and that will probably result in a new ice age in ten or fifteen thousand years.See ya! Wouldn’t want to be ya!
For the ark to travel that fast, it must be pulled by the Lock Ness Monster.
Just read The Rocks Don’t Lie recently, which gives the history of various cultural flood myths. The book answers a lot of questions raised by posters here over the past two days. Forget Bill Nye, I would have liked to see Ken Ham debate the author of this book.
All over the world there are shells in sandstone and other rocks on top of mountains. How did they get there? Well if you are like Nebbuk, exoticdoc2 and other Bible thumpers who don’t know squat about geology (or lived in ancient times), you’re going to guess there was a big flood at one time and one of your ancestors evidently built a boat to save themselves and other land animals.

He could’ve at least thrown them a couple of life jackets.

On the other hand, Rat and Pig don’t have to survive for 40 days on a boat with every carnivore in the world.

LOVE Ricky Gervais’s take on the book of Noah from his childhood. YouTube if you have never seen it – makes me laugh so loud my dog starts howling!

The Ark myth was borrowed from the Sumerians. Ziusudra is the Sumerian Noah.

That ark looks pretty empty…so who’s steering the ark if noah’s water-skiing? his dog?

I always liked the fact that the protagonist of the Aztec flood story was also named “Noah.”
