It’s complicated isn’t it? Hope you had a happy Valentine’s Day big Al!

You never told us about the fighting. You never even hinted about what lead to the split. It’s time for some serious flashbacks!

You have some ‘splaining to do! And we can’t wait!

Some people stay together even when they fight all the time. Maybe they’re used to it.

Sometimes, time apart will make us romanticize what we had and forget all the reasons that led to the split. It’s also possible to still be in love and willing to try again. We can’t possibly know or advise because it’s not our story. Thanks for sharing your story of pain and laughter.

I’ll just hope Petunia finds happiness and Dre is good with her choices.

You have a wonderful son in Dre, he loves you and doesn’t want you to be hurt again. I never understood this part of the ‘game’, for my ex it was all a game, while I was going through this stage of my marriage but I would have benefitted from a healthy dose of reality. It really does hurt the kids the most. Mine may have taken a long time to get over their anger at me for leaving but it was worth not letting them grow up to be like their dad.

Live in the moment, young Padewan learner. The past does not define the future, and the future is yet to be written. Your future will be the same for you whether your folks are together or not. Neither of them seem the type to use you as a pawn against each other. A period of pleasantness , whether lasting or not, is ultimately better than bitterness 24/7. And to be truthful, your attitude isn’t helping.

I’m sorry for Petunia. But Dre is probably right.

Dre is a glass half empty sort of fellow, or maybe even a glass completely empty sort.
