Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for June 13, 2013
June 12, 2013
June 14, 2013
Transcript:
Phoebe: Do you think we're alone in this universe? Marigold: I doubt it. Phoebe: Why? Marigold: Well, we saw your parent half an hour ago. Phoebe: Unicorns are weirdly unimaginative. Marigold: Also, I see a car down there.
If this strip continues to upload late, I’m going to have to start posting in my very best whiny four-year old voice – “Where’s Marigold?” – as per the child who spent the entire 2nd Lord of the Rings movie asking “Where’s Frodo???” Why any parent would take a young child to see that movie is beyond me!
any1 ever see that letter where all the words are missed up but u can still read the it. Even if the middle of the words are scrambled the 1st and last letter are still there your mind makes it so u can read it
This has a whole different meaning because I was just reading “Breaking Cat News” (By Georgia Dunn) and the first thing I thought was “You’re not alone, you live in the same world as cats who run a news crew and befriends bitter mice after tricking them with fake cheese wheels.” (Christmas Special: Puck’s Purrfect Christmas Tips)

That should be “unimaginative”.

She’s a kid. I bet she mispronounces a lot of big words.

Now I’m wondering what Alien unicorns look like? Maybe some place unicorns have cloths and ride humans who eat grass?

Unicorns are almost as logical as Vulcans.

Marigold isn’t unimaginative, she’s just very literal-minded. (I’m the same way, which can make for some very interesting conversation with me…)

I agree with the Unicorn, we’re not alone in the universe, but Earth is the only planet with organic life.

Now Phoebe, being literal doesn’t mean she lacks imagination, it just means she isn’t imagining the same thing as you.
