Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for November 26, 2013
Transcript:
Phoebe: We get two days off from school this week. Marigold: It's Thanksgiving, yes? Phoebe: Yup. Marigold: What are you thankful for? Phoebe: Not having to go to school for four days! Marigold: That is a tidy logical loop. Phoebe: It's very satisfying.

I’m thankful for my unicorn. He only keeps his horn behind that shield.

: ) I’m thankful for all the talented artists on GoComics, and the wonderful people who read and comment – making me smile every day!

I’d like to see a Marigold balloon in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.

Here in Canada, we had our thanksgiving already. Now I refer this coming weekend as The Great American Holiday Sale (aka Black Friday).

I get Thanksgiving off work, but have to go in Friday.

I wonder how US Thanksgiving ended up being fixed on Thursday. In Canada it’s always on Monday, so no need for the annual “Phone-In-Sick Friday”…

I think she needs a different scarf if we’re going to talk about time loops.

I know that we are supposed to be “thankful” about something this time of year, but I’m having a difficult time to find something to be “thankful” for.Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of things in my life that i am happy about. Things that i am happy that i have. That kind of thing. With the terrible year i have had this year, and the previous few years, its hard to be thankful.I suppose that if you tried to get me to nail down one thing that i could be truly thankful for, it would be the laughs i have had, and the friends that i have made in this place. GoComics.Strang thing to be said. Some of my best friends, i have never seen face to face.Is that a commentary about me, or the Strange New World that we live in now? Or, perhaps, both?

I guess being off school on Black Friday and Cyber Monday is a thing now. :)
