In the original run of this story, the winning word was ‘Pyrrhic’—possibly axed this time around by editors for being too educational?—and when Marigold described the situation as ‘ironic,’ Phoebe replied that her mother says that Alanis Morissette ruined that word forever.

Got my book today! I like being able to enjoy it without having to sit in front of my computer, and even being able to put sticky tabs on all my favorite pages! Oooh, and it has my favorite scene in it – with Phoebe and Marigold hugging when they decide they WANT to be friends. In fact, today’s strip goes nicely with that.
