Phoebe: Right now it's almost summer. so they can't really teach us anything. Phoebe: Then we'll have three months to forget everything from this year. Phoebe: THEN we'll spend the whole fall reviewing all the stuff we forgot. Marigold: I questions the efficacy of that system. Phoebe: Don't question. Just forget!

I remember wishing I had the choice to specialize in school, instead of them trying to prepare me for every single possible field I might possibly go into. In hindsight, I still think a lot of the classes were wastes of my time. I didn’t want to be a bloody mathematician, and I never changed my mind about that, so the stuff about sines and cosines and whatever the third one was was completely useless.

There’s nothing inefficient about it. With or without summer vacation, it doesn’t matter, you’ll still forget the same amount of what you had learned 3 months ago.

I question that too. Our district tried year round school and parents complained about it the entire time. God forbid that we should affect the football season and their vacation time!!

…at my age, I feel that my brain is now full. There is no memory upgrade available. If you want me to remember something new, I have to forget something old. No room, otherwise :)

It’s best to forget about it. It makes ZERO sense. :/
