Hate to say this, but I’m so disappointed with this retcon. I mean, seriously disappointed.

I guess she could use this to set up a condensed flashback to how Dakota’s hair came to be magic. It depends how much time has elapsed since the last edition of SoDakota.

I like this strip. Maybe is the color or something, but I can totally imagine Dakota moving in that screen. That´s how she could look in animated form.

Good one.

I can understand Dana’s decision not to retell every story, but I miss not seeing a bald Dakota.

OK, so the unicorn has granted the little girl’s nemesis a wish that is, more like than not, going to make her even more obnoxious towards anyone who doesn’t make her “grade”?Doesn’t sound like a story arc to me. Sounds like a betrayal.

So, a clear reference to a storyline from before the strip got into newspapers. And I just realized that Dana replied to my comment a few days ago and confirmed that those stories are still canonical. Thank you. It’s very nice to know that the creator is actually here and reading our comments. :-)

However, only a few days ago, there was the sequence where Dakota tried to one-up Phoebe with her car, cellphone or football. She didn’t seem to have reaped any personal benefits from being acquainted with Marigold then. Might be a bit confusing to new readers.

At least the Unicorn didn’t put makeup on your face. Yet.

Well I for one am glad to see this story. One, I missed the original story of Dakota’s hair getting enchanted; two, I’m happy to go through the story line again because, three, Dakota is a hoot and always gets her comeuppance; and four, it’s just a fun arc to watch this “good deed” spin out of control. Lighten up, guys, Life isn’t tailor-made.

Time for a little extra cream rinse. …then threats with a curling iron.

When does this retcon begins? I’m late to the party and I’m still reading the comics from 2014 so I’m really curious about it.
