This reminds me of the story about the blind men and the elephant. Phoebe could try to feel this invisible thing find out what it is, but that may not be enough for her to determine its true nature.

Reminded me of a similar scene in Star Trek: The Voyage Home.

She’s found the famous box that is always trapping mimes.

What is it? Large and invisible.

And a thing.
