Phoebe: Size 5 please!
Marigold: And two pairs of the smallest and daintiest shoes, so my hooves do not scuff your shimmering tile! It will take all my majesty to overcome such...pedestrian hoofwear.
No, supposed to be controlled slip shoes, so you can slide a little on the delivery if you want to. And not have outside dirt embedded in the leather, that would scratch the floors.
My first University job in 1969 was helping out in a bowling alley. I learned a lot that year – about shoes, grooming lanes, and unjamming A2 pinsetters.
And the reason they look so awful is to make them less attractive to thieves. Also, the contrasting colors less likely you’ll forget you have them on. The colors also make them easier to spot by the guy behind the counter as you walk out, who can politely remind you to return them.
I always hated bowling shoes. They always feel so big. I feel like a clown. Anyway, I’m new to this strip, and after stopping by to see it’s first two weeks, I’m really enjoying it. Looking forward for more.

I never really understood why bowling requires special shoes. It’s all in the arms really.

“Pedestrian hoofwear”? Doesn’t Marigold mean “bipedal hoofwear”?

How about P.F. Flyers?

Now that I think about it, I’m sure it was Red Ball Jets.

Right—-you aren’t going to slide properly without bowling shoes.

Very cool bowling lane manager, not blinking an eye at a unicorn requesting shoes…or he is in shock

Ah-hahah omg that’s hilarious… I’d pay big bucks to see a unicorn go bowling.

Marigold might complain about the bowling balls—designed with finger holes for humans, but not for unicorns.
