This is indeed getting interesting. I do believe Dakota compared herself to a goblin. This will be quite the battle.

Is the question relevant? Every individual unicorn thinks of themself as the greatest, surely.

But what if… to be popular as a goblin you have to be unpopular (i.e. unlikable)? So the most popular is really the most disliked? Ah, hell, Dakota still might win.

Dakota is approaching ‘terminally cool’, where you are too cool for your own good! On a graph, there is the linear phase, where the harder you try, the cooler you are. Then, at ‘optimally cool’, you start to get diminishing returns. Then you reach ‘maximally cool’ at the top of the graph. Then on the other side of the peak, the harder you try, the less cool you are, until you go off the deep end into ‘terminally cool’, where your coolness is working against you. The graph for working out is about the same, where you can end up ‘over-training’. Similarly, there is ‘having attitude’, ‘having an attitude’, progressing to having an ‘attitude problem’.

Know the difference between prose and dialog. We don’t normally speak in complete sentences either. To do so would be unusual.
