Too late! Such a subject has just been forbidden in some schools, because of the anguish it could cause if some children didn’t have a good summer or week-end…
My teachers preferred to require that we write a book report on something we’d read over the summer. Some kids thought this was unfair double jeopardy, but my problem usually was deciding which one she’d give me the best grade for. This was kind of iffy when the teacher was brand new: Did she like fiction? History? Science? I tried a report on “Mathematics, Queen and Servant of Science” in (7th? 8th?) grade and got back a big “?” and a note to my mother asking if I had really read that!
yeah, I get the feeling that teacher is at best going to give her points for creativity/active imagination. Or at worst, as Sugar Bombs said, give her an F for making stuff up.
The first day of my summer vacation – I woke up. Then I went downtown. To-look-for-a-job. Then I hung out in front of the drugstore.
The second day of my summer vacation – I woke up. Then I went downtown. To look for a job. Then I hung out in front of the drugstore.
The third day of my summer vacation – I woke up. Then I went downtown. To look for a job. Then I got a job. Keeping people from hanging out in front of the drugstore.
- That’s fine, young man. Young man. Young man!!!!

If only school allowed recordings. Phoebe would DEFINITELY ace it.
