Marigold certainly knows her priorities. Stuck in a tree? Good time to comment on a nine-year-old’s grammar!

does Marigold wiggle herself in order to liberate herself from getting stuck in a tree horn first?

The question nobody thought would be asked:….. “How go you get a Unicorn out of a tree?”

I didn’t know unicorns pronked. Or should that be ‘prunk’?

Good for Marigold Heavenly Nostrils! We understand, but don’t condone, the use of “sprung” as the past tense of “spring,” but we must recognize that, for both transitive and intransitive use, the past “sprang” is now established.

Grammar nazi.

Marigold was pronking like a young buck, Along came a tree, Now she’s stuck.

Have we seen this one? This looks familiar.

Are we sure that’s not “sprang”.

“…When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter/I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter….” There, that ought to help you remember.

This one reminds me of a grammar class I took, where we did fake conjugations of verbs. We started with sing, sang, sung, progressed to bring, brang, brung, and ended with We done brang it! Good times …

Just wiggle and gravity will do the rest.

Spring is near, so lovely to see, but darn! my unicorn just speared a tree…

I think she pronked too hard.

Kinda relevant here, spring is the Dutch word for both jump and leap. Less relevant leer means teach, learn and leather
