Hmm… I wonder what the artists message for this comic is?

Maybe Dana is saying I can have her car?

Is this the only night or are they going to have to reproduce that for the next week?

And so Phoebe learns an important lesson about art. It is the beholder, not the artist who gets to interpret it.

Just like church: what the preacher says about the Bible and what the congregants believe may be two different things.

(sigh) If only humans in real life learned that message.

Somewhere or other Robert Frost advised creative people to take any compliments the critics give them. The message I personally got? That neither Phoebe nor Dakota are QUITE ready for Second City yet. (Marigold, of course, was ready before there WAS a Second City…….or, probably, cities!)

    A fabulous re-enactment of a typical session of congress…

Personally I think Dakota snailed it, and Phoebe was splendid.

Ethan has a great point (as well he should, being married to an artist). Artists don’t  get to say how their art is interpreted. One noticeable result: Artists are often either grumpy curmudgeons, angry about how people misinterpret their work or very laid back souls who go easily with the flow.

“You are not in charge of how I interpret your art” – every once in awhile the pearl of profoundness shows up.

So it just the two of them? No other child actors in this school play? Not very elaborate… :/
