Oh boy! Voltina isn’t going to kiss Max for this, is she? If so, it would be a nasty “shock”!

I’m on a hydroelectric diet. Need to watch my figure.

I mean it’s in the name voltina.

And this was a nice arc: it’s understandable Max is shy about critcisim and understandably vents about it, but recognizes phoebe meant well and that he simply isn’t used to people actually liking him. Which is.. really sad. I mean he’s only 10 and the only people we’ve seen truly enjoy his company are Phoebe, Voltina, and his own parents. (Mari dosen’t hate him or anything but it’s clear from the arc a few weeks back the two just do not vibe at all. )

I would’ve thought Voltina’s favorite snack to be car batteries… then again, little Max wouldn’t be able to lug one over by himself. Perhaps when Max gets older, like a teenager.

I’ve touched my tongue to a 9-volt battery. They’re delicious.

It was pretty sweet that Phoebe admires him, poor guy doesn’t seem to get that much positivity from non family members it seems.

Li-Po batteries are the “Hard stuff” for her.

In a previous comic it was revealed that he had other friends.

How many have licked 9 volt terminals?.

I did once and yeah it’s not pleasant.

You feel the energy but also it makes the most ugly metallic taste.

In fact the energy brings out the metallic taste the most.

I wonder how Voltina eats batteries.

She seems to be an electric elemental creature and does not have organs or flesh.

Even Pikachu is a living flesh creature.

I’m assuming that she probably just sucks on the terminals until the battery is depleted and she doesn’t swallow it.

She at least doesn’t have organs that could get blocked by the battery itself as well as poisoned by the mercury and battery acid.

I’m assuming that even a depleted dead battery’s acid still burns?.

As a kid I was so confused when I once heard of Pikachu’s cheeks referred to as batteries and I didn’t know they weren’t actual batteries, but now I understand how they are cells like in an electric eel and generate their power from Pikachu’s own body.

people already do have some natural electric in their body and fish I think I heard have a lot of natural electric in their bodies.

I wonder who would win in a battle of Voltina vs Pikachu.

I think Voltina would quickly win because Pikachu can still be defeated with electricity alone as was the case when Ash battled Sarge’s Raichu.

Voltina being a pure electric being without skin or organs would only be strengthened by Pikachu’s thunder bolts.

I wonder what powers Voltina has.

If she has electric breath or does she shoot the electric from her hands?.

I read a comment where it was suggested that a separate comic series be written about Max and Voltina.

I think that would be a great idea.

Dana has done a great job at making Voltina a very different personality type than Marigold.

If Max went to Marigold or any unicorn with his problems then the conversation would probably only end up being about the unicorn.

Voltina has no ego because dragons naturally know they are strong and fearsome and wise.

You say that now but wait till he asks for Ds

This was a nice arc. Voltina is a good friend.

I remember a long time ago, Phoebe muted Dakota and Dakota had asked her to go somwhere, then she tried to figure out where she was supposed to go, then she ditched the subject and Dakota looked sad. Where’s the ending to that?

This explains why my car battery is low some mornings.

Well this has been fun. Good to see Max and Voltina. I think it’s cool the whole thing started with Phoebes adoration for Max.

Why did nobody ever write a book titled “Tom Swift And His Electric Dragon”?

Voltina must prefer voltage over amps.

Has Voltina always been yellow? I thought she was blue. Or am I just losing my mind? Lol :) Either way, awesome comic!!
