    This song, from Guys and Dolls, spent many weeks on the Billboard chart in 1950. That was the cover recorded by Perry Como and Betty Hutton.

    The song was in 1950 that would be nice, but Opal apparently sings that sounds terrible or off-key.

    I had to share this with my grandchildren, both of whom are young adults now. I’d sing with joy, “I love you a bushel and a peck …” As soon as my grand-daughter was old enough, she wailed, “Don’t sing, Mema!”
