I was first told to wear glasses in fifth grade. I didn’t wear them until a few years after high school ‘cause I was afraid of being called “four eyes”; I didn’t wear contacts in that time between.
I think Opal says she feels the contact lenses on her eyes uncomfortably. She should wear the eyeglasses better.
