Free, always attracts oldsters. Look at any restaurant that has a “buy one, get one free” night on the menu!!

Free in a way but you need a data plan that does cost extra.

Just like my mother. Buy one get one free and she brings me the free one. She says, whether I need it or not, it’s free, take it.

Nothing is free. Nothing!

I know that this is a novel idea but all I use my smell phone for are telephone calls in - and telephone calls out.

Buy one get one free? I’m there, if it’s something I want.

Well, at least Opal would get her money’s worth! Then again, Opal can have them (and still not use them) but it’s free…FREE!!

I can just see Opal trying to learn to use all those real neat new gizmos, immediately followed by a panic attack, a very smashed cell phone and a call to 911. Hey, you have fun, Opal!

Opal, the “apps” means the applications to install in the cell phone. OK!

If Opal buys one and gets another one for free, she can give another free cell phone to Earl for emergency.

BC13 - I’m with you on using a cell phone for just phone calls. I only take a picture on it when I want to change the wallpaper on it. I think the WP that’s on it now is several years old. I did use it once in a pinch for a pocket calculator - I was doing some algebra and forgot to bring one.

Same here with me BC13 RRAmom. That’s just what I use my cell phone for. To call in and call out, and nothing else!

Mom never uses her cell because the buttons are too small…for her to use it the cell would have to be as big as a…well…telephone book…

And to think Opal was confused about contacts (lenses) yesterday.
