I have a rake like that…good idea..make it the loaner!

I’d be happy to loan him a cat. Good looking cat. Hair floats around a bit much but otherwise not so bad.

If you “loaned out” the cat Earl, you will sleep in the garage tonight.

Don’t be so stingy, Earl. After all, isn’t he you buddy from next door?

Take my cat. Please, take my cat.

I bet he has a comb just like that rake he can lend.

“Borrow” the cat? Just take the dam thing!

Does the cat double as a rake? Otherwise fuggetaboutit!

If Earl loans the cat out to the same families he loaned the rake to, it’s apt to come back with but one hair.

Earl He’s hoping the cat won’t come back at all!

And maybe, Earl, Opal will let someone borrow your dog.

That’s right- just see what happens if you loan out Muffin, the cat of cats.

But we all know that the cat came back, the very next day…

If I were Clyde, I’d tell Earl that my new philosophy is if a rake is moreimportant than a friend, then it’s time to end the so-called friendship because it is in the same shape as the loaner rake!
