Here in Phoenix, you’re well advised to stay in when it rains. Go out and you have to deal with all the closed-off streets where the people who don’t know how to drive in the rain have crashed.
Being part of the “Norvelt Foot Patrol” we walk every day, just dress for the day, be it warm or cold. Yes, some days are more demanding than others, for that is how life is.
Well, today is Dec. 22 in Northeastern PA. It’s 65 degrees @ 6:15 AM, and it’s raining horizontally, with wind gusts to 50 MPH. Who wants to go shopping?
Here in west central FL it’s 72 at 8:30 a.m., going up to 85 and sunny today. To think I used to take 3 buses to college and three buses back each day in Chicago when the weather in January at 3 p.m. was sometimes well below zero. Once it was -16 ! Don’t know how I ever did that. Youth, I guess.
I laughed out loud at this comic. I like it! I don’t know how the comments got to the weather and other things – but, interesting comments.@milania -there are not ugly cats!
I had a friend who would take his sons on long motorcycle trips..They were headed to Glacier National Park in March.that year..I asked him"Have you checked the weather there..They’re still under 12 feet of snow?“..He said..”No problem you just have to learn to dress for it.“..I just looked at him and said..”In a open motorcycle with a wind chill of 15 degrees F?..That’s the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard!"

Gramma Tests are a lot more complicated than Grampa ones, but at least we Grampas don’t have to know all the answers – we just pretend we do !

hariseldon59 – it’s actually an old Scandinavian saying. No one knows who said it first, but here’s one guy.
There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing." — Sir Rannulph Fiennes
