I don’t know how old Opal is supposed to be but if she is as old as she looks, how can she sit comfortably so low and hen is able to get up.

Those ain’t freckles, they’re chicken pox!

The freckles are on her glasses. Don’t seem ‘em? We don’t see her eyes either. It’s the Little Orphan Annie effect.
