The same thing happens to me.

Earl needs some serious mental, emotional, and neurological evaluations!

I used to work with a woman who was married to a perfectly dreadful man. He considered it her job to answer the phone, no matter where he was, or where she was. She got locked out of the house once and called to ask him to let her in. He was sitting beside the phone and knew she wasn’t there, but refused to answer it. She finally called his brother to drive over and let her in.

I have to agree with angelfiredragon. There’s button on our phone that if you touch it right, whomever you’re talking to can be put on hold while you answer the other call. I’ve dis-connected one too many calls doing that, and have also allowed those dreaded “telecallers” through too, so I don’t try to use it anymore !!!

After so many years of marriage, Earl knows how to tune out Opal. Good for him.

Sometimes Earl has a real mean streak..He puts it to good use…And, sometimes, that’s a good thing to throw at Opal
