The Halloween candy that you and Nelson had Saturday night wasn’t enough that you had to dip into the chocolate chips. Shame on you Earl. Opal was going to bake you a big batch of chocolate chip cookies. Bet they would have been very good.

My wife has basically asked me the same question over a variety of stuff in the pantry. When you get a craving you get a craving! When this happens and she asks me a question I say those precious three little words. They are not “I love you”. They are “I don’t know.” :-)

I NEVER just open a bag of chocolate chips and eat some. They’re too sweet, and they’re too small, and the good ones get gooey on your fingers.

    And Spouse hides them anyway.

PS: If, like me, you too never eat ‘em, may I suggest that you might try never eating them after they’ve been frozen.

I never eat them either, at least until after they’re gone.

I have my cupboards organized in Tupperware Modular Mates containers. (not selling them!) One day when I was going grocery shopping I asked my husband if there was anything he needed. His reply was “that little tank you keep the chocolate chips in is empty.” :)

And now I just had to go to the cupboard and get a fun-sized Mounds Bar. Good thing I haven’t brushed yet.

Every year I buy a bag of candy for the trick-or-treat crowd, and every year we never get any, so I am forced to eat it before it goes bad!

See Earl, you should have waited. Chocolate chip cookies are much better than the chips alone! (at least I’m assuming it is)

If you have any nuts around the house, chop ’em up and put them in the cookies instead.

Maybe if he’s desperate enough, she can convince him to go to the grocery store.

I have an open bag of chocolate chips, only because my fudge recipe calls for 16 oz of chips and the bags are 12 oz these days.

Whenever possible I look for the ‘two-fer’ deals on chocolate chips. Then, hopefully, the eating bag will last long enough to have a full bag for baking.

I read somewhere that dark chocolate was good for you. The best health news I ever saw! It also said something about some tiny amount per day, but I don’t remember that kind of stuff.

Earl could not resist the chocolate chips, so no cookies. For our son’s birthday his dad and daughter’s man went to see about a cake, we did not know our son did not like chocolate he does not comment on that, they did buy 2 kinds and mini cake, deep dark chocolate and white cake. As I am allergic to chocolate I just do not know most time if smell will effect me, I opened both containers, the smell was strong, yes I had a reaction days later as on Sunday, that was done on Tuesday, a painful reminder just by smell of strong chocolate. I will not cut into chocolate.

Trick or treat wasn’t cancelled in my city so, I bought the usual amount. Hardly any kids showed up – in fact only 6. Now I’m stuck with about 5 pounds (2.27 Kg) of chocolate bars. Guess what’s gonna happen now!

A not-so-lazy desperate man could learn to bake cookies. It’s very easy. Or go to a store and buy a bag. His laziness just amazes me. His wife is a true jewel to put up with him! Pun intended for her and her sister.

Cool bit of trivia I learned the other day. Ruth Wakefield invented the chocolate chip cookie. She sold the recipe, the same one that is on the bag today, to Nestle for $1 and a lifetime supply of chocolate.
